About Pokhara
Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in western region of Nepal. Pokhara is known as a gateway to the Annapurna area, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.
Place To Visit in Pokhara
1) Fewa/Phewa Lake:
It is called the mirror of Himalayan ranges. You can see the clear reflections of mountains in this lake.
2) Tal Barahi Temple:
Its a kind of an island which is situated in the middle of Fewa Lake. This historical and holy temple is famous because you need to go by boat to reach it.
3) World Peace pagoda:
A beautiful monastery, which is located in the top of the hill of Pokhara. From where you can see the beautiful view of Pokhara valley.
